Living Proof Beer Co. - Rocky Mount, VA

Charismatic, funky, and immersive, Solacoustix’s projection and curation of a rollercoaster setlist was alarmingly precise. They committed to each full sound with a signature genre elasticity that animated the entire building. This confirmed their melodic finesse, further reinforced with each engaging shift. Most covers invited one or more band members to accentuate their specific sounds for the ultimate showcase of 4 talents in collective harmony. Bass guitar and an unsuspecting keyboard delivered a two toned conversation that spoke in electronic slap bass and classic, 4-stringed licks. A fluid, live mashup was the height of their show, combining tracks that left the room entranced. Covering Dr. Dre, Gorillaz, LL Cool J, Kelis, and others in one thrilling run, Solacoustix performed impeccable improvisations fueled by meticulous mixes.
This band outran expectations with blips of raunchy hilarity, twists on hit tracks, and impromptu vocal additions. Solacoustix constructed a conversation that warped the exhaustion of a late night into a second round of organic, mastered remixes that considered the crowd. They ended by climbing soulful vocal ladders with a stand-out cover of Radiohead’s “Creep”, attracting recognition for the innovation they build. Solacoustix stretched the stage and allured listeners with a splash of welcomed chaos. As lead singer, Stuart, warned: “Don't try this at home.”
Jojo Stockton leads local band Solacoustix with bass or main guitar, allowing passionate vocalist Stuart Brown (Stu) to formulate a custom blend of engrossing sound. Cushioned by Chris Eural’s foundational drums and Adam Hill’s lucrative keys, Solacoustix is downright prepared. This 4-piece band has opened for Ruben Studdard, Adrian Crutchfield, and Delbert McClinton, and more. They were originally a duo between Jojo’s acoustics and Stu’s soulful voice, dedicating these characteristics to create the clever band name: Solacoustix.
