Spotify Cover Art New Medicine Somebody Else

With a clever rock-rap flair that settles into a funky metal outpour, “Somebody Else” is a diss track for egotistic, self centered motherf*ckers. This new single lists collective, sly remarks that snap into place with a flattering rhythm-rhyme combo only New Medicine could unlock. Their message is timeless and delivered with cool, lax assertions that seethe with distaste for the pompous. The sharp criticism in “Somebody Else” is cushioned by witty insults like “riddle me this/ ya selfish son of a bitch/ you think that you’re God’s gift/ well here’s an ass you can kiss” with unserious slander that inspire knee-jerk grins. New Medicine sings “la la la la la la” for a touch of taunt that enforces their unmistakable, rugged sound. They play with swanky rap and metal eruptions to create a compound sound that seduces senses. “Somebody Else” is a straightforward call-out drenched with satire, slick vocals, and thoughtful production.

New Medicine just released their latest single “Somebody Else”. They started making music in 2009, debuting with “Race You to the Bottom” in 2011. One of their most popular releases is “Breaking the Model” with over 130 million Spotify streams on the album’s “Fire Up the Night” alone. Go see New Medicine, supporting Third Eye Blind, at the Bloomsburg Fair in Bloomsburg, PA on 9/25/25 at 6:30pm.
