3 words: Blushing, Fated, Redirection.

“Julia” is a pop-punk thrill with wavering determination paired with gripping, whiplash vocals to match this taste of uncertainty. GKM captivates with a compelling bass and drum combo that invites interest, followed by a hushed intro that communicates guilt and the temptation of secrecy. The bridge retracts this familiar theme through a hypothetical fantasy delivered by ultra-angsty vocals that saturate listeners with GKM’s enthusiastic character. This section is alarmingly addictive with precise fluctuations and flickering vocals that make your senses flutter. They even nailed this part in their March concert at Canal Club in Richmond, VA. After this brilliant build up of tension, GKM gushes “I’ll stay away from Julia” and “anyone like you” greeted by the indecision of realizing the two women are ever-similar. GKM has mastered that classic punk clamor with notes capable of sending chills of adrenaline down each limb.
Green Knuckle Material (GKM) is a New Jersey based band that began with rap-rock in 2016. With their revitalized, genuine sound, GKM attracts over 10K monthly listeners on Spotify. They’ve worked with All Time Low and Rise Against and have performed at various venues in the US. Their spring tour recently ended, celebrating the release of their new single “Beg For It”.
